What's Happening?
Happy New Year!
Goodbye 2025 you were a blur. The first year for Fitzroy Public Gallery and it was huge! From an empty warehouse with an entrance up a dark alleyway to a buzzing gallery space, 2 studios, then 5, several group shows and some solos, a magazine launch, popup stalls then a market. So many amazing shows and people! Thanks to everyone who came, helped build, brought their work and gave a little bit of love and energy to this crazy project. Here’s to the next year continuing to build that community and crashing madly through into the future!
FLUID
Fluid is a dynamic group exhibition showcasing queer themed art across painting, photography and sculpture.
Presented as part of Midsumma Festival, the exhibition brings together diverse creative voices that explore identity, desire, transformation and joy.
Running from Friday 30 January to Sunday 8 February, Fluid will take place at Fitzroy Public Gallery —just steps away from the heart of the annual Pride Street Party on Smith Street.

The gallery is on hiatus for the summer holidays. We'll be back for Fluid in late January - See below.
