What's Happening?

Art exhibition 'It Takes A Village' taking place over Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June. The opening night will offer a food experience alongside artwork showings across painting, photography, installation and an interactive piece.
It Takes a Village is the debut exhibition by Mangetout, a community‑driven collective dedicated to rebuilding the shared spaces that have quietly eroded in our increasingly digital, secular, and isolated world. The exhibition brings together artists whose work explores the idea of community: both its presence and absence, and the space that sits between the two.
Through visual art, installation, and participatory elements, It Takes a Village asks: What does community look like today? What have we lost, and how can we rebuild it together? The show is designed as both an exhibition and a gathering space; an invitation for audiences to not only view art, but to inhabit it, converse within it, and feel part of something larger than themselves.
We envision the gallery as a temporary village: a place where strangers can meet, conversations can unfold, and art becomes a catalyst for connection.
The exhibition will also run on Saturday 6th from 11–4 without the food experience, at a subsidised rate. Tickets for Friday 5th are available for purchase through this link: or on the door.
Saturday tickets available on the door.
