Welcome to Fitzroy Public Gallery
A vibrant space for emerging artists, where creativity thrives and the community comes together to celebrate art in all its forms.
Open plan space in the beating heart of Fitzroy. Warehouse space overlooking Smith St - the coolest street in the world. Freedom to move, breathe and express creativity. Perfect for rehearsals, film or photography. Surrounded by culture, food, drink and transport options.
East-facing windows give this space a sunny, airy feel. Polished wooden floorboards ooze vintage charm. White walls bounce light and enhance the brightness. The background and fittings are industrial and basic.
Fitzroy Public Gallery is right in the thick of trendy Fitzroy - a culturally rich and artistic milieu. The space is above a bar and a bottle shop, overlooking Smith st - a busy shopping street full of vintage clothes stores, bars, cafes and two very large supermarkets. Yah Yahs, The Grace Darling Hotel, Crumpler and Coles are all near neighbours. This precinct is famous for the LGBTIQ+ community and many queer-friendly venues. Plenty of street art and great coffee.
Entry is via little Smith st -a charming bluestone laneway filled with colourful street art. The 86 tram goes right past, there is a stop at the the corner of Gertrude and Smith St, only 100m from the entrance.
