It’s the end of the year and festivities are upon us. Let’s celebrate what has been a momentous first year for Fitzroy Public Gallery and all our wonderful supporting artists with a festive frolic of fabulous art.
Fitzroy Festivus is a celebration without boundaries. It's a festive feast for the eyes.
Anything goes as long as it’s smaller than 50cm.
Let your freak flag fly in Fitzroy Festivus!
Max Size: 50 by 50cm
All mediums welcome - Painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, video.
Entry Fee: $35 or 3 for $90
Submissions close: Midnight Saturday 22nd November
Art Dropoff: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, 11am-5pm
Opening: Friday 28th November 6-9pm
Exhibition runs 28th November-14th December
Artwork Pickup: Sunday 14th December 5-6pm, Monday 15th 12pm-7pm
● All artworks must be personally delivered to:
Fitzroy Public Gallery, Level 2, 125 Smith St, Fitzroy
● Delivery Dates: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd November, 2025, between 11 AM and 5 PM.
● If you cannot deliver your artwork on the specified days, you may nominate a proxy to drop it off on your behalf.
● Packaging will not be stored at the gallery. Artists are responsible for bringing suitable packaging to transport their works during collection.
EXHIBITION DISPLAY
● Each piece will be displayed with a label including the artist’s name, artwork title, and medium.
● The gallery has full discretion over curatorial decisions.
● While reasonable requests will be considered, specific curatorial requirements cannot be guaranteed.
● Multiple artworks from the same artist may not be displayed together; placement will be determined within the broader exhibition.
ARTWORK DAMAGE AND INSURANCE
● While Fitzroy Public Gallery follows industry best practices to ensure the safety of artworks, it assumes no responsibility for theft, loss, or damage.
● Artists concerned about the security of their works are encouraged to arrange their own insurance coverage.
